How is talent born today? What skills will be needed in the future? Does creativity help us navigate an increasingly complex world? These and similar questions about the relationship between people and their talents were raised in Vilnius by speakers at the National Culture Forum. Participants in the forum’s discussions also spoke about what talent is today and how to create an environment in which it can flourish.
The eleventh edition of the event, which brought together representatives from the fields of culture, education, business, technology, and the creative industries at the Vilnius TECH Faculty of Creative Industries, highlighted a key idea: talent is increasingly rarely perceived as an innate, exceptional trait. Instead, it is much more often associated with other creators, the community, and a supportive environment that allows it to flourish.
