DISCUSSING THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE CCI IN REGIONS

☀️ In a summer mood and full of good emotions, on June 26th we took the train 🚂 to Švenčionėliai, a Lithuanian town famous for creativity and generating new ideas.

Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) are a great tool for revitalising a place, and they are successfully used by the local community. During the meeting, we discussed the recipe for success in the development of the creative economy in the country’s regions with the Mayor of Švenčionys Municipality, Rimantas Klipčius ✅. Meanwhile, Miško uostas, which is implementing the vision of Švenčionėliai as a city of creative industries, shared its experience in combining authentic urban experiences with a modern lifestyle. By using old buildings of the city’s infrastructure, community members open up opportunities not only to develop CCIs, but also to meet the needs of locals and visitors through creativity. 🎶🏛️🎨

👏 We are delighted that Švenčionėliai has included CCIs as one of its priority areas of action and we are proud of the local community that creates wonders. We look forward to returning and promoting innovation in the cultural and creative industries together!

🧡 Thank you to Švenčionys District Municipality and representatives of Miško Uostas: Šarūnas Savickas, Marija Savickienė, Aurimas Ražanauskas, Ieva Ginkevičiūtė for hosting us. We would like to thank Tomas Jonušas for his initiative and all those who gave us the opportunity to become part of the authentic face of the city.
